Region: Hunter Valley, NSW
Winemaker: Mark Smith
Tasting Notes: This wine was made from 100% Verdelho sourced from a single premium Pokolbin vineyard in the ‘Lower Hunter Valley Region'. It displays all the benchmarks of this classic variety, with lifted aromas of tropical fruit salad. The palate has citrus flavours which are clean and refreshing, supported by zesty acid, the finish is salivating with persistent length. Best enjoyed while youthful, simply by the glass or as accompaniment to Asian sushi, Thai seafood stir fry, or Mexican fish tacos.

Expert Review The Real Review - Huon Hooke
"Pale colour and a fresh, clean, aromatic nose that reminds of confectionery. Musksticks. It's light and straightforward, clean and crisp and well-made. A clean, simple, everyday wine which doesn't rely over-much on sweetness. Very good.14/3/2018"

Verdelho is quite a versatile wine and pairs well with shellfish, particularly freshly shucked oysters. The tropical fruitiness of Verdelho also allows it to pair well with spicy Asian dishes.
